Train Time 2002

Commissioned by NJ Transit this 12 x 12' stainless steel screen is 1/2" thick and weighs two tons. The shapes of dozens of objects from the history of train travel are incorporated in a pattern reminiscent of traditional American quilts.  Adjacent to the sculpture is a stainless steel plaque that identifies and provides the historical references for the images used in the sculpture.
